Several years ago, founder Alan “Al” Bruns met a female soap maker. Although the concept of making your own soaps appeared foreign, as most soap is “mass produced,” he was inspired. The soap maker explained that soap could, indeed, be made at home and gave a presentation on the benefits of homemade soaps as well as a sample. It was inspirational and led to the first handmade batches for use by the Bruns family.
After using it for 2 weeks, the benefits were obvious as Al’s family began to notice the positive changes to the quality of their skin. “We weren’t expecting it to occur, it just happened,” claimed Al. This piqued Al’s interest and he dove into the trade, which included a study of the properties of various oils, botanicals and other natural additives. Since being founded, SunDog has expanded yearly as they continue to produce exceptional products to meet the needs of their clients.
